Thermal Film is an economical solution for screen, flexo, and gravure shops wanting to eliminate inkjet inks, toners, or chemistry. No harmful chemicals or processing are needed.

Our thermal film is a specially coated polyester film that works great for Screen, Flexo (Flexography), Etching, and Gravure printers. The film is not light-sensitive like other graphic art film. When the imagesetter applies heat to the film, the reactive layer turns black and creates the image – no messy toners, dyes, inks, or transfers are used.

Silver Surcharge

 

Film prices include a Silver Surcharge to account for fluctuations in the cost of silver used in the manufacture of photographic film stock.

 

Silver is a critical raw material in the production of traditional photographic film. Because the market price of silver can fluctuate significantly, changes in the cost of this raw material can directly affect film manufacturing costs. The Silver Surcharge allows film pricing to be adjusted to reflect these changes without requiring frequent changes to the underlying film price.

The surcharge is based on prevailing silver costs and may be adjusted periodically as market conditions change. This charge is intended solely to offset changes in the cost of silver used in film production and is not an additional margin or service fee.
