The Techsetter2 is a clean and compact solution for artwork production, enabling you to eliminate outsourcing and bring production control in-house. The unique ThermoImpression film requires no fixers, developers, inks, or toners and provides a superior UV density that exceeds industry standards. The Techsetter2 includes the option of a fully featured Harlequin RIP-Kit™. The RIP-Kit is fully compliant with PostScript Level 3 specifications and includes sophisticated halftoning and color separation features to give you full control over your prepress workflow. ThermoImpression™ Film is a specially coated polyester which, instead of being light sensitive like other graphic art films, is heat sensitive. When the imagesetter applies heat to the film, the reactive layer turns black and creates the image. Our thermal film doesn't require messy toners, dyes, inks or transfers.

Our Harlequin RIP software includes over 30 different dot shapes along with Stochastic (FM) Screening. Over 30 Dot Shapes Precision Screening
Every Harlequin RIP-Kit includes Precision Screening to prevent moiré, accurately place halftone dots, and give full control over screens, resolution, and output across all major print processes.
Stochastic Screening
The RIP included with thermal imagesetters supports Stochastic Screening, allowing FM output and a Stochastic Yellow option that applies a stochastic screen to Yellow while using conventional AM screens for CMK and spot colors.
