With Automated Thumbprint Creation
Ann Arbor, MI August 16, 2004 -- Xitron, the industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors, announced the new Presstek Dimension Interface available with Xitron Navigator Harlequin RIPs, Xenith Extreme Workflow and Raster Blaster.
The Xitron interface supports Presstek Dimension and newly-introduced Dimension Excel CTP systems for 2-up, 4-up, and 8-up applications. In addition, the Xitron interface is compatible with many of the leading Presstek-enabled DI® presses.
Marc Johnson, Presstek's Product Line Marketing Manager for Off-Press products, noted "Presstek is known for high quality, small-footprint CTP systems with a choice of chemistry-free or completely process-free plates. Combining our platemaking hardware with a highly efficient and productive workflow on the front-end creates a strong value proposition for the printer, and helps fulfill our commitment to providing printers with a Smarter Way to Print."
The Xitron products used with Presstek devices are field-proven in numerous successful installations, which include Xitron's Xenith Extreme driving the Dimension. The new interface from Xitron enhances the value and functionality by allowing Xitron products to directly drive the devices in a fully automated, all-digital, affordable workflow.
Presstek dealers and prospective customers can see the Xitron interface first-hand at the world-class Presstek demo facility in Hudson, New Hampshire. For demonstrations of Xitron products visit the Xitron booth #4460 Graph Expo in Chicago Oct. 10-13, 2004.
"We have many satisfied customers using Xenith Extreme with Presstek equipment. We are thrilled that we can now drive these devices directly," expresses R. Patrick French, VP Sales and Marketing, Xitron. "This kind of partnership once again demonstrates our dedication and ability to create superior interfaces. We listen to our customers and routinely go-the-extra-mile to create time-saving enhancements in our drivers and plug-ins that improve prepress productivity."
