Support Services to Encompass QA and IT Departments
Ann Arbor, MI – July 1, 2005 –Xitron, the prepress industry's leading independent developer and integrator of Raster Image Processors and workflow solutions, announced today the promotion of Bret Farrah to the newly created position of Vice President, Support Services.
In his new role, Bret will continue to manage Educational Services and Support but will also oversee Xitron’s quality assurance and corporate IT departments. He’ll join Xitron’s executive leadership staff reporting directly to Xitron President Jim Thrush.
“Improved customer service and support played a critical role in the growth and success of Xitron’s business these past two years”, stated Thrush. “Bret’s dedication and guidance as Manager of the Educational Services and Support department contributed significantly to that improvement and I expect that to carry over to his new responsibilities.”
Bret began his graphic arts career 24 years ago as a sales representative with Varityper. After advancing through several support management and product marketing positions with PrePRESS SOLUTIONS, he was eventually named Vice President of Marketing for FileFlow, Inc. He accepted the support position with Xitron in January of 2003.
